Max was adopted from The Adamante Orphanage. He's a white lion Thunderian and he's at the stage where he's into absolutely everything.
He's currently going through a phase where he likes ordering others around. And, with most of his siblings at school all day, this tends to mean his four youngest brothers and sisters - Tia, Rufus, Paula and Vince. Not only are they younger than him, they're also Gummi Bears which means he's by far the tallest of my five youngest kids. Needless to say, I'm having to watch out in case he decides to get physical - not that I think he will, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Max is currently doing well at playgroup, but, from what I've been told, he's started to boss the kids there as well. I've even had calls telling me to come and pick him up early because the staff can't deal with his behaviour. I'm hoping it's just another phase he'll grow out of, but, rather than take any chances, I've started removing him from the room if he starts to get too overbearing - with a bit of luck, that will teach him that the only reward he gets for bossiness is no attention.
It's hard to believe that this lively child of nearly four was once the baby boy I took in back in late 2002. Even back then, he had a very strong personality and, even with so many adopted siblings to compete with, he's still as outspoken as ever.

These are some of Max's things. First, there's his toy lion. Then, since he's outgrown his wagon, I got him a beginner's bike, complete with training wheels. There's also a simple board game (although he does tend to get annoyed if he doesn't win) and toy Berbil. The thing below is a building set which lets you make little cabins out of plastic "logs".

This is Max's bedroom furniture. Because he was too young to say what he wanted when I got it, I opted for the traditional "blue for a boy" theme, but I might change it if he ever expresses an interest in other colours.
