This is Mario, a leopard Thunderian adopted from The Adamante Orphanage. I met him on the same day I met Emily.
I recently received a demonstration of just how far Mario has progressed since I took him in. The other day, he came home from school and asked me if it would be OK if he brought a friend round one evening. I was initially surprised because this was the first time Mario had asked me such a question, but I was pleased as well - it shows he's learning to mix with kids outside the family. But the real surprise was when he told me that the friend in question was a young Jackal Mutant called Oscar.
Usually, Mario is afraid of Mutants because he was enslaved by them before coming to Adamante. He's not as bad as he was (having Chloe around seems to have helped to some extent) but it was difficult to get him to feel comfortable around other Mutants. So I was pleased to learn that he had actually made friends with a Jackal kid, especially since, from what I've been told, it was a family of Jackals who had him as a slave to begin with. The last I heard, they were all under arrest for false imprisonment and various other crimes, but, knowing the corrupt nature of Plundarr's society, they'll probably be able to bribe their way out of jail. For that reason, I've had Control (the interplanetary law enforcement agency) place an Exclusion Order, banning Mario's former owners from setting foot on the same planet as him.
Anyway, Mario's little playdate went well and I was pleased to see how polite and considerate young Oscar was - unlike some adult members of the Mutant race. Of course, they're not all bad; it's just that their culture is heavily biased in favour of those who know how to push others around.

These are some of Mario's belongings. From left to right, we have a spaceboard scooter, a stuffed wolf, a holoviewer and a wooden sword. He seems particularly proud of the sword and carries it everywhere - I think he'd even take it to bed with him given half a chance. Below the toys, you can see Mario's toy box - it's designed to double as a seat.

This is Mario's bedroom furniture. The bed is a cabin bed with a short ladder to the mattress and the dresser is plain wood with green drawers. He also has a nightstand
