One thing I've discovered about Mario is that he loves birds. This page is dedicated to his birdwatching and avian memorobilia. He says birds of prey are his favourites "because they're big and powerful". This book is one of Mario's favourites. The text is a little hard for him at the moment (it's aimed more at kids around Latoya's age) but he loves looking at the pictures.
Above you can see Mario's binoculors, which he takes with him when he goes for a walk. They're small and light enough for him to use. He can't read and write very well yet so the notebook is mostly used to draw pictures of birds.
Talking of pictures of birds, these two are Mario's current favourites. He says he likes the clouds on the one of the eagles.
